Admission Policies

All our guests must be current in their vaccinations. For dogs, this includes Canine Distemper, Parvovirus, Parainfluenza Hepatitis, Rabies and Bordetella Vaccines. For cats, this includes Feline Herpesvirus, Calicivirus, Panleukopenia, Rhinotracheitis and Rabies.

All cats require yearly negative stool tests.

All dogs require negative stool tests every six months and must be on a monthly flea prevention.  

Males must be neutered and females must be spayed if over 7 months. All group activity guests are required to fill out a resort profile and will need to be assessed at check in.

Any dog showing signs of aggression or threatening behaviour towards the staff or other guests will be removed from group play at the discretion of Birchmount staff.

All pets will be checked for fleas upon admission and treated if necessary.

The Boardwalk, Parkview and Gardenview Suites and Birchmount Lofts require a 50% deposit at time of reservation. This is refundable up to 24 hours prior to check in if cancelled.

Pets vacationing in the Village do not require a deposit at time of reservation.

24 hours notice is required to cancel all reservations. For the Village Suites a same day cancellation charge of one half of the regular nightly fee will be applied. All other accommodations will forfeit the reservation deposit.

All reservations that result in a no show without a cancellation will be subject to one night's charge.

We do our best to ensure any belongings you bring with your pet stays with your pet, however we are not responsible for any lost belongings. We do provide bedding for pets in the resort so it is not necessary to bring your own.

Toys we do not accept due to possible choking hazards:  

• Rope Toys
• Tennis Balls
• Squeeky Toys
• Any stuffed toy with non-childproof eyes and noses.

Saturday: 11:30am - 1:30pm

Sunday: 4 pm - 6 pm

Check out times:

Monday to Friday: 7:30 am to 1:00 pm

Saturday: 8 am to 11:30 am

Sunday: 4 pm to 6 pm

We are closed for drop off and pick up on Sunday and Monday of Statutory Holidays.

A per holiday surcharge will be applied to all pets over holiday periods.
