Our family has gone to the Birchmount Veterinary Clinic for 18 years. The clinic has friendly, helpful, caring veterinarians, technicians and staff. The animals are given the royal treatment at this clinic. Over the years we have had three cats and three dogs receive care at this clinic.They have gone out of their way to make sure our pets have received the best treatment and care. Our current dogs Daisy, a Great Dane, and Arthur, an English Mastiff, like going to the clinic because they receive hugs and biscuits before their vet appointments.
We feel this is the best place for our animals to receive overall care.

The friendly caring staff at Birchmount always welcome my pets with a pat on the head and a kind word of reassurance. I know while in their care, my pets are safe.
I can honestly say I have never come across veterinarians more kind, compassionate, and as knowledgeable as Dr. Barrett and Dr. Pepper Jones. Over the years, this dedicated team of professionals and staff have provided my pets with excellant care!

I made our first appointment at Birchmount Veterinary Clinic and hoped for the best. Our newly adopted dog Charlie had been badly abused and he did not trust men. Dr. Barrett was so gentle with him that Charlie was comfortable right from the start. That was 20 years ago. Since then, I have moved out of the city but have not found a local veterinarian who measures up to the gold standard set by the veterinarians and staff at Birchmount. It’s well worth the 40 minute drive each way to ensure that “The Boys” get the best care available. Special thanks to Jackie and Stacey for their tender care when I’ve had to say good-bye to one of my beloved animals.

I originally thought taking Benz to a daycare facility would be temporary and just until he got over his anxiety of being home alone. Years later and he is still going to daycare. Not because of his anxiety but because of the high quality of care and attention he receives there. I have peace of mind when he is there because I know that he is safe and with people who truly care and love animals.
Birchmount Veterinary Clinic has all the services we need in one place. The veterianrians are compassionate and skillful. Grooming staff are gentle and patient. Grooming was starting to be a concern when my dog would not allow anyone to touch his feet. But his groomer took the time to assure Benz that everything would be okay. Now grooming is no longer a problem.
Most importantly all the staff at Birchmount are friendly and caring.

Eventhough over the years I have moved further and further away, I will always travel the distance to take my cats and dogs to this clinic. As a busy entrepreneur I would not be able to accomplish what I need to without Birchmount Veterinary Clinic — Pet Resort, Daycare & Spa. My two “furry” children begin to wag their tails as soon as we turn onto Birchmount Road and when I drop them off they never look back at me. They accompany the staff members willingly. The team are all friendly, competent and extremely accommodating. It is very comforting to know that my dogs are well taken care of and that I have nothing to worry about during my hectic day.

Hi! My name is Jake and I’m a 7 year old Viszla.
I love going to Birchmount because the staff are friendly, highly competent and caring. They all make me feel welcome and I really like the cookies! When I’m not feeling well the vets take great care of me and understand how important I am to my owner; they even referred my to a specialist on one occasion.
When I stay at the Resort, it feels like my home away from home and I really enjoy the time I get to spend outside in the dog run. For longer stays my”person” treats me to leash walks and playtime in the park — great! The very best way that I round out my stay is with a soothing bath and I always go home sporting a new bandana.
I know my “person” really trusts the people at Birchmount because her other dog Max also came to this same great place.

The Pettigrew Family
I one day drove past this red and white sign of dogs and cats carrying suitcases with big smiles. I didn’t get it. Why are they smiling? The answer is known only to the pet owners who bring their pets to Birchmount Veteriary Clinic. Shadow was brought in to Birchmount when he was 7 weeks old. Almost 3 years later he still makes regular visits to Birchmount. The moment he walks through the door, it is like walking into a favourite pub. Everyone is happy to see him. He gets a cookie, cuddles, kisses, squeals, and is asked how he is today. The doctors give him the attention he requires for his visit and sends him on his way as a happy puppy. The care doesn’t stop when the visit is over. I will get a call from Birchmount the following day just to find out how he is doing and if he is feeling better. Nothing is too much for the staff when it comes to the pets they treat.
At last it is clear why those dogs and cats carrying the suitcases have those big smiles. They love it at Birchmount Veterinary Clinic. So do I and most importantly Shadow!
