A Word About Positive-Based Training

Just as people learn best from being told they are doing something correctly (as opposed to only being told what they are doing wrong which will eventually result in confusion and/or frustration)dogs learn best, and retain information/feedback better, thereby forming GOOD behavior/habits by being rewarded for making correct choices and performing desired behaviors instead of simply learning to avoid corrections through compulsion training. Forming a relationship with your dog based on trust, not on avoidance of corrections and fear, will withstand the test of time and in the
end result in a much more confident and well behaved companion.
